STOBE
STOBE is the Kenshi-side Dwemer Dynamics framework. It adds AI dialogue, voiced characters, narrator support, memories, and world-aware roleplay to Kenshi.
Overview
What STOBE Is For
STOBE is built for Kenshi players who want AI characters to feel more present in the world instead of behaving like isolated chatbot windows.
- Bring AI dialogue and voice into Kenshi scenes.
- Give characters distinct profiles, memories, diaries, relationships, and voices.
- Let conversations reflect nearby people, inventories, locations, world events, and player bases.
- Use simple in-game menus for chat, recent history, NPC details, and response modes.
Living Characters
STOBE supports your whole playthrough instead of one special companion. Characters can keep their own identity, remember important events, write diaries, and change how they feel about others over time.
Narrator And World Tone
The narrator can introduce a playthrough, describe scenes, keep its own diary, and use a custom name and voice. Inline narration can be spoken by the narrator, spoken by the NPC, or shown as text only.
World Awareness
STOBE follows more than dialogue. Characters can react to travel, injuries, death, limb loss, slavery, trade, world-state changes, and the condition of a player base while they are inside it.
Character Voices
STOBE includes voices selected for Kenshi races and unique characters. Greenlanders, Scorchlanders, Shek, Hivers, Skeletons, Cannibals, and named NPCs can sound more distinct, with general voices used when no closer match is available.
Configuration Depth
STOBE is not locked to one service combination. Profiles have Standard, Fast, Powerful, and Experimental response choices, while QuickStart provides a ready-to-use default setup.
Recommended Start
For most users, the right path is still:
- Install DwemerDistro.
- Use OpenRouter first.
- Set up the required Kenshi-side mods.
- Get base conversations working before you expand into deeper tuning.
Guide Pages
Start with Installation. Use Configuration for the web menus, Kenshi Settings for the in-game windows, and FAQ when something is not working.
